PASTOR Freddy Munsie

Pastor and evangelist Freddy Munsie was born again in September 1997. As every young man, Freddy was in every kind of sin you could imagine until he started feeling drawn towards good morals. Just like that, little that he knew, the Lord was drawing Freddy to Himself. The Bible says the Lord draws you, according to John 6:44. Soon, Freddy started going to Catholic Church again and feeling the peace and gladness that comes only from the Lord. Hear from Freddy:
"One night, I had a dream. In this dream, a master/preacher wearing a white robe was preaching. But funny enough, the dream was set outside our drug house! I went there to do drugs. The outside was the same, but the inside was changed to a church! I was disappointed standing there, not understanding why it changed like that, and when I turned to go find drugs somewhere else the master suddenly stopped preaching. He came to me and he told me that if you don't change your life style you will die. When I woke up, I lost the temptation to sin in this way. Today, I have come to understand that all of that was the Lord Jesus talking to me because Job 33:14 says God speaks in many ways, even in dreams.

After that, I was invited to a non-denominational church, and I went forward when they called for altar calls. This is when I became born again. I started learning the Bible through the church and later through classes called Emaüs Bible from Germany. I became an intercessor and served as a follow up crew of the church, encouraging those who come to church for the first time to come again. This encouraged me to become an evangelist. After two years, I started preaching in open markets and buses.

I came to America in 2003. I loved the Lord, but English was a big barrier. The Lord started putting it in my heart to provide a French-English church for all the people that don't speak english yet that are from French-speaking parts of the world. I decided to attend a Bible school in Upstate New York called Pinecrest Bible Training Center.
In 2008, by the help and grace of God that we rely on still to this day, I opened the church called Grace of God Church in Albany New York. You are welcome here.
PASTOR Jean Pierre

Pastor Jean Pierre is a humble and profound man of God. He was born in a Christian family that was serving in a Protestant Church in the region of the Kasaï Province of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. As a teenager, he received Jesus as his Savior and Lord.
From there, he became an intercessor and studied the Bible. He started serving as a soul winner, and he was doing so good, but they couldn't ordain him as an evangelist because he was not a married man. Then, he got married in 2013 to Christine, and was ordained shortly after.

From 2013, he was serving as an evangelist and was really involved with helping the pastor. He got a prophetic word that God was calling him to pastor, and that a pastor will suggest you to be ordained without you asking. However, this journey first brought him to travel to America in 2016.
​
Once in America, he didn't know where to worship God and he didn't know how to serve in America because of the language barrier. So he stayed home for almost a year until discovered the bilingual French/English ministry of the Grace of God Church of Albany and he was so happy to join! Jean had been serving God there faithfully and then, in September 2023, pastor Freddy Munsie received the message from the Holy Spirit that God was saying it was time for Jean to become a pastor. He knew it was the accomplishment of prophecy that he had received many years before. He knew God was speaking and without doubt he dove head-first to become a pastor. Jean Pierre is serving happily in this church to this day. Together we believe in God for great things and world mass evangelism which the vision of this church.
JOHN YANDI

Evangelist John Yandi grew up in a devoted Catholic family. He started contemplating going to convent to become a Catholic priest but in 2005, he was invited by his sisters to a crusade hosted by an evangelical church. There, he gave his life to Christ and has been a devoted Christian born again. Wherever he goes, people call him a pastor because he always hangs around pastors. He never liked it, but he found himself over and over again friends of pastors.
John believes in what the Bible says in Romans 11:29, that the call of God and his gift to men are without repentance, meaning God never withdraws it! Brother John, after years in the church and several teachings on evangelism and school of ministry, was officially ordained as a certified evangelist and serves in the Grace of God Church of Albany, NY.
JULIE HOLLINGS

Evangelist Julie Hollings was a normal young lady, partying with friends that were pulling her to drink alcohol and live in immorality until one day, her sister (whose husband is a pastor), recommended me to a pastor friend of his by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. I didn't feel like calling that pastor, but I couldn't forget about that recommendation. Finally I called, I had an appointment, and when I met the pastor we talked and I started crying so bad under conviction of the Holy Spirit.
​
One day I was invited to a crusade. I liked everything that I saw there, above all the lady leading the worship was very inspirational. I became a worshiper like her, and I also learned to evangelize (through certification given in Cameroum, Africa where I'm from). Once I arrived in America, I went to more than three churches. Everything was fine with theses churches, don't get me wrong. But I didn't feel like I fit, maybe because of the language barrier and also the little missing influences of my African culture (music-wise and our way to praise God).

From there, I started asking God to give me a church where I feel like I'm home. Then, one day, Pastor Freddy Munsie showed up in my shop ,annoncing the grand opening of THE GRACE OF GOD CHURCH, which I knew directly was God's answer to my prayers! I went the first Sunday in April 2008. Nealy 16 years later, I am blessed to call this church my home church where my family and I go to worship God.

Since I devoted myself the best I could, Pastor Freddy decided to make me a deacon. Then. I went through training called SCHOOL OF MINISTRY and gained another certificate of MINISTER OF THE GOSPEL and EVANGELIST. Now, I exhort and evangelize in and outside the church.
​
I love this church because it is a family to me! I feel so comfortable and loved there. Our pastors, Freddy Munsie and Jean Mukengela, don't just talk the talk of faith but they do assist us also outside of church as they can. That shows that it is not only about faith but works also as James 2.26 says!
